TweetDirector is a Twitter client specifically designed for Broadcasters.

TweetDirector uses Dropbox to let users collaborate on a broadcast production, organising Tweets into folders.
Tweets can be selected and automatically assembled into a graphics crawl message formatted for the station's graphics device such as Chyron or Clarity. This crawl message is sent directly into the graphics device using Dropbox.
The system works entirely via internet. No station IT configuration is necessary, providing the iPads and graphics device are connected to the internet all data transfers happen transparently.

The folder structure is totally user-defined allowing for many modes of working.

A typical scenario would be a member of production staff searching for relevant Tweets that are to be read out or broadcast as graphics. Tweets would be placed into folders such as 'Talent' and 'Graphics'.

TweetDirector lets production staff feed the talent with Tweets instead of them viewing all messages via the Twitter account. Talent would use TweetDirector to view Tweets placed into a 'Talent' folder. 2 modes of viewing are available – a standard scrollable list of Tweets and a Talent Mode view of individual Tweets with forward/back control.
Talent Mode is useful when the iPad is placed on the studio desk, giving the talent an easily readable display with simple tap to change Tweet.

User avatars are automatically sent to Dropbox for use in the broadcast graphic if desired.

A free PC TweetPlayer application can be downloaded allowing Tweets from a designated folder to be sent to other broadcast graphics devices such as VizRT, Clarity, tOG, Chyron and Brainstorm.
