“Map & Talk” is an app which helps you conversation in Japanese when you are traveling Japan.

You only choose a place from map or Bookmark, then the app speaks “Please go to Tokyo station” or “Could you tell me the direction to Fushimi Shrine” etc. in Japanese. The app’s user interfaces are shown in English. You don’t need to learn Japanese.

“Map & Talk” app is free and easy to use:
+ Choose a place from map
You can find a place nearby you or searching with keywords.

+ Generate sentence automatically
App generates and shows sentences in Japanese according to your objective such as “tell your destination”, “ask the direction”, “ask about time” or “ask about fare”. English sentence is also shown as well.

+ Speak it in Japanese
Once you reached at the sentence you want, tap “speak” icon. App speaks it in Japanese.

+ Easy and Quick access from Bookmark
You can also access the place from Bookmark. It has about 300 popular places in Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Nara and Hokkaido area.

+ Make your own preference Bookmark
You can add any places to Bookmark. Those are listed as your own preference Bookmark.

+ Useful phrases
App has useful phrases when you are in taxi, you want to ask something in town or you enjoy shopping. Choose a phrase, speak it in Japanese.

+ Available even offline
Bookmark and Phrases functions are working even you are offline.

Free version has limitation such as 5 times speech and disable to add your preference Bookmark.
Once upgrade, you can unlock these limitations and remove ads.

It is the fact that many Japanese people do speak English, but still many speaks only Japanese. If you are in Japan, you may face to language barriers in Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto or anywhere.
