Transporter is a realtime transit guide, with journey planning and all timetables in your pocket.

REALTIME

A true realtime journey planner should not rely on just static timetable information. Instead, Transporter keeps the displayed routes and timetables up to date with the latest data.

Route results adjust their departure, waiting and arrival times as necessary. Notifications alert you when you cannot make it in time to the next line.

LIVE MAP

Live map shows all public transit lines with smooth animations, with timetable information specific to each vehicle.

The same map also powers all line and stop views in the app, and is tuned to handle realtime updates efficiently.

INTELLIGENT REMINDERS

Transporter triggers stop reminders when the vehicle actually nears its target, not based on scheduled timetables. You are reminded at the correct time even for delayed lines.

Schedule reminders to repeat only on weekdays if you like. You'll receive push notifications for any delays or disruptions, and when the line is about to arrive at your stop.

PRIVACY

No external analytics libraries have been bundled in the app. You keep your data to yourself.

Details:
- Routing and timetables in Finland use realtime public transport data from Digitransit.fi API (in BETA outside Helsinki and Waltti cities)
- Timetables are available for nearest lines and stops. You can set favorites for quick access.
- Live Map displays all vehicles, including buses, in Helsinki region
- Intelligent reminders notify you based on actual vehicle positions and estimated arrival times
- Optional background route tracker notifies you of any delays or interruptions on your selected route
- Push notifications alert you of disruptions on your favorite stops or lines

Please note that continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
